MR. FASHOLA, ADEYEMI TAOFIK OLAOSEBIKAN – PERMANENT SECRETARY

Mr. FASHOLA, Adeyemi Taofik was born in Lagos on 12th of January, 1960.He graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 1983 with B.Sc. (Hons) Political Science. In 1987 he obtained a Post –Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from University of Calabar.His thirst for more knowledge lead him to Lagos State University (LASU) in 1998 where he obtained Master Degree in Public Administration. He also holds a Diploma Certification in Project Management from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2015.

Mr. Fashola started his career with Lagos State Government in 1990 as an Administrative Officer on GL. 09 at the Lagos State House of Assembly. He rose through the ranks which culminated in his appointment as an Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources between August 2015 and October 2015.

Prior to that, at different times he was Director, Finance & Administration, Lagos State Judiciary Service Commission, from 2008 to December 2012; Director, Finance & Administration, Lagos State Judiciary December 2012 to August 2014; Director, Finance & Administration, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development August 2014 to August 2015.

He was appointed a substantive Permanent Secretary in October 2015 and posted to the Audit Service Commission where he was later redeployed to the Public Service Office.

He is a member, Nigerian Institute of Management. He has attended many Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences, among which are Scientific Management in the Civil Service N.I.M.; Sensitization workshop on the importance of Data Collection and Management for Socio-Economic Planning in Lagos State, UNICEF; Management Retreat for Director, Finance and Administration on Human Resources, among others.

AD-HOC Assignments: Committee Secretary, Year 2007 inauguration and 40th Anniversary of the creation of Lagos State; Co-coordinator –Office of the Chief of Staff, Year 2007 Ministerial Briefing; Executive Secretary, Orile Agege Local Council Development Area, 2008.

He is a recipient of Letter of Commendation from the Office of the Head of Service for a Dedicated and active role played during the Year 2002 bomb blast at Ikeja, Military Cantonment.

Mr. Taofik Adeyemi Fashola was posted to the Civil Service Commission in February, 2017.He is happily married with Children.
