Mr. Odeyemi Adesina Mohammed — Commissioner I

Mr. ADESINA MOHAMMED ODEYEMI, a coach, mentor and an encyclopedia of establishment and public policy matters was born in Ikorodu on August 10th 1959. He had his primary education at Muslim B Primary School, Ikorodu between 1965 and 1968; he proceeded to Methodist Primary School 1, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State between 1968 and 1972 to complete his primary education. He attended the prestigious Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State for his secondary education between 1973 and 1977. This is a school with an enviable track record of impacting sound academic excellence, morals and strong positive life-long values into the lives of her products.
In 1979, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolwo University, Ile Ife the then University of Ife for his university education where he obtained B.Sc in Biochemistry in 1983. After his one year National Youth Service, he started his career with Lagos State Public Service as a classroom teacher at Awodi-Ora Secondary School in Ajegunle where he served for 11 years, 10 months. In his pursuit for more knowledge, he obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Lagos in 1995.
In his quest to exhibit his innate leadership qualities and make the best of his newly acquired administrative skills, his service was transferred into the main stream civil service as an Administrative Officer in January, 1997 and deployed to the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions. Thereafter, he settled down finally as an Administrative Officer with utmost determination to leave indelible footprints on the sand of time.
In April 2003, he was appointed as the Private Secretary to the then Head of Service, Alhaji Rafiu Babatunde Tinubu, he served in this capacity diligently under two other Heads of Service Mr. Akinsanya Sunny Ajose and Hon. Yakub Abiodun Balogun until 2008, when he was appointed Director, Finance and Administration and posted to the Office of Local Government Establishments, Training and Pensions where he made reputable landmarks by being dutiful and resilient in spite of all odds. In the event to reposition the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas for the Local Government elections, he was posted to Ojodu Local Council Development Area as Executive Secretary. The uniqueness of his administrative style, his simplicity, doggedness and uncommon zeal for excellence showcased him wherever he went.
A very resourceful officer, he had served in several capacities giving optimum service and technical proficiency to job responsibilities and challenging assignments.
Upon his appointment as Permanent Secretary in August 2015, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi served in the Office of the Head of Service/Public Service Office (PSO) and several other places before his retirement.

For his sterling performances during his civil service career, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babjide Sanwo-Olu appointed him as a member of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission.

Mr. Adesina M. Odeyemi is happily married and blessed with children
