Mrs. Dapo-Thomas Boladele Aderemi – PERMANENT SECRETARY

Mrs. Boladele Dapo-Thomas, is a distinguished Administrator and seasoned Bureaucrat. She is a Lagos State Public Service Designated Career Mentor, a Change Agent, thoroughbred Establishment Officer and an exemplary leader.


She is an alumne of the prestigious University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile Ife, where she obtained both her Bachelor and Post Graduate Degrees. She is also an alumna of the Harvard Kennedy Executive Education Programme and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration and member, institute of Directors.


Mrs. Dapo-Thomas, also obtained certifications from the Oracle University in addition to several Management and Leadership Certificates.


With over thirty-three years of experience in the Lagos State Civil Service, she served in various capacities delivering optimum service and technical proficiency to job responsibilities and assignments. She also served as Protocol Officer and Private Secretary to five Wives of Governors in the State between 1988 to 1999.


She was the Director of Establishments at the Office of Establishments and Training before her appointment to the post of Permanent Secretary in 2015.


Until her deployment on 5th February, 2021 to the Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Dapo-Thomas had served as Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, where she brought her wealth of experiences to bear on State Programmes, projects and reform initiatives.


She also served in technical and Advisory Capacities on many Change Initiatives of Government such as Global Computerization Programme, “Project Wheel” and UK DFID Programmes among others.


Amongst many Commendations and Awards, she is a recipient of an Impact and Special Recognition Award (March 2020) from His Excellency Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for her reforms in the work and Ease of Doing Business process structure in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, which also contributed to Nigeria moving up on the World Bank`s Ease of Doing Business Index.


She is married with children.
